Taha Amer is an Islamic preacher and thinker and one of the leading religious figures of the Muslim Brotherhood in Germany and Europe. He is an Egyptian with German citizenship, residing in the city of Frankfurt, according to the Arab Center for Extremism Studies.
He studied at Al-Azhar University in Cairo and obtained a master’s degree in jurisprudence and its principles. He holds leadership positions in various German and European structures affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood. He is the head of the Scholars and Preachers Authority in Germany and the director of the European College for Human Sciences in Frankfurt, which is the German branch of the European Institute for Human Sciences headquartered in France. He teaches at the college and serves as the imam of the Islamic center in the same city.
He is also a member of the executive office of the European Council for Imams and participated in the founding meeting of the European Council for the Quran in May 2022, one of the latest continental structures of the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood. In 2022, he published a book titled “Towards Rationalizing Muslim Presence in Europe.”
It is worth mentioning that associations and organizations affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in Germany and Europe are subject to strict scrutiny by the German domestic intelligence, despite owning dozens of mosques, cultural associations, and relief organizations.
