Shiraz mausoleum bombing.. Was the Iranian regime involved in the terrorist operation? And why?

As protests in Iran escalate following the death of Iranian girl Mahsa Amini, an armed attack targeting a religious shrine in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz this week resulted in the death of at least 15 people and injuries to dozens more. The targeted shrine, located in Shiraz, the capital of Fars Province, is one of the most prominent religious shrines in southern Iran. The authorities declared the perpetrator of the attack to be “takfiri terrorists.”

IRNA reported that two children and a woman were among the dead, and published a photo of corpses buried in a courtyard. Other photographs showed broken glass and pools of blood.

ISIS strikes

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, which targeted the Shah Jirag “King of Light” shrine of Ahmad bin Musa al-Kadhim, the brother of Imam al-Ridha, the eighth Shia imam to strike a target. “This evening, the soldiers of the caliphate carried out an operation against the Shrine of Rawafid in the city of Shiraz, killing and wounding 40 people, thank God,” said the statement issued by ISIS.

Official Iranian media reported that the suspects are not Iranian nationals, and that worshippers regularly gather at the shrine on Wednesday nights. It noted that the attack took place in one of the most crowded hours for visitors, and the Iranian regime vowed a harsh response to the attack. President Ibrahim Raisi vowed that “the conspirators and planners of this heinous crime will face a systematic and firm response from the security forces and police” in a message published on the presidency’s website. “Past experience has proven that the enemies of the Iranian people are avenging themselves through violence and assassination after they despaired of sowing division and sowing division among the united people,” he said.

Mullahs involved

Informed sources revealed that the incident came after 40 days of protests in Iran, the escalation of clashes with the security apparatus, the targeting of officers in the Revolutionary Guard, the burning of security centers, and the failure of the regime to contain the protests, which are expanding in scope and gathering internal and external momentum. Sources considered that the incident was planned to be justified in the hands of the regime if it decided to crush the current demonstrations, as it was planned by the Iranian regime and carried out by the terrorist organization ISIS, which is what appeared from the statements of the Iranian president, who accused the demonstrators of preparing the ground for terrorist acts, describing the protests as riots, in the meantime, students at one of the gatherings of the government propaganda to link the attack on the Shah Jaragh Shrine, chanting: “Shah Jaragh, this is a trick,” and these plans are repeated, and these are the Iranian President, “these plans, these are the Iranian protests are repeated,”, as are repeated, as are the Iranian President, as are the Iranian protests in the cities, as are held in the cities of the Iranian of the country for the seventh consecutive week, was responsible for the attack that targeted a Shiite shrine in the southern city of Shiraz. In a speech from Zanjan Province, located in the north-west of Iran, “Raisi”, speaking about the recent protests, said that the riots were an injustice to the progress of the country, and the terrorist attack in Shiraz was based on the riots, adding that the recent unrest has prepared the ground for this bloody explosion.
