Slovenian police announced the death of three people in a small plane crash caused by fog in the northeast of the country, according to the Anadolu agency.

In a statement issued by the police, it was noted that the plane, a Cessna Skyhawk, was on a panoramic flight in the Prekmurje region before crashing due to heavy fog.

The statement added that the three passengers on board, whose identities have not been disclosed, lost their lives when the aircraft crashed near a football field.

Local media reported that the plane was initially scheduled to carry four people, but one person decided not to board at the last moment.
