Social media platform Twitter is down in an worldwide outage

According to the site Downdetector, which is known to list non-functional sites, Twitter services are down.

Around 8:20 am, nearly 5,000 reports were made by users on the Downdetector site. The outage appears to have started around 8:00 a.m. this morning and seems to be concentrated in Canada.

An attempt to connect to the California company’s tweetdeck platform resulted in the following error message: {“errors”:[{“code”:131,”message”:”Internal error.”}]}

On Twitter’s mobile app, there is an error message that reads: “Tweets don’t load yet.”

So far, Twitter has not released any official communications.
