Soleimani’s son-in-law, EX- IRGC, smuggled arms to Hezbollah

Iran continues to transfer weapons and military equipment to the Lebanese Hezbollah by all means to increase pressure on the country, fragmentation of the region, and foment crises; this is what Israel has revealed.

Israel revealed the path of transferring weapons from Iran to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon, as the Israeli army explained that “the route of transferring weapons is managed by Reda Sayyid Hashim Safieddine, the son of Hashem Safieddine, the head of the executive council of the Lebanese Hezbollah”.

The Israeli army added: “Hashem Safieddine is using his senior position and the Lebanese state’s infrastructure to help his son transfer strategic weapons from Iran to Hezbollah”, he said. “As part of his position, Hashem Safieddine follows Hezbollah’s activities with the Shia population, communicating with prominent figures in Lebanon and managing media and communications mechanisms”.

“His son Ridha, married to the daughter of Qassem Soleimani, the former commander of Iran’s Quds Force (who was assassinated near Baghdad airport in early 2020), visits Iran several times a month where his wife lives”, the Israeli military said.

He continued: “It can now be revealed that Ridha Hashim’s flights to Iran carry military dimensions. He uses his stay in Iran to coordinate the transfer of advanced weapons to the terrorist Hezbollah using a vast network of infrastructure, resources and activists belonging to the executive council headed by his father and with the support of entities linked to the Revolutionary Guard”.

The Israeli army pointed out that “to ensure the maintenance of confidentiality, weapons are transported on civilian flights from Iran to Damascus International Airport, which exposes civilians to imminent danger”, considering that “the terrorist Hezbollah exploits the state of Lebanon and its citizens for terrorist purposes that serve Iran’s interest”.

In this context, the Israeli army stressed that it “will continue to monitor all Hezbollah attempts aimed at threatening the security of the State of Israel and will act as needed to protect the security and citizens of the State”.
