UAE – Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed orders airlift to aid Afghanistan earthquake victims

At the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, “May God Protect him”, an air bridge has been started, carrying integrated food baskets and basic medical supplies, in addition to a medical team and a field hospital.

• Two medical Emirati of supplies planes were sent to Tunisia

The sending of aid comes in light of the continuous follow-up by the United Arab Emirates on the current situation in Afghanistan and its effective contribution to mitigating the repercussions of the devastating earthquake that recently hit the South-East of Afghanistan and left thousands of victims and injured, and the resulting lack of food and medicine for a large segment of the population of the earthquake area, especially Afghan families, the elderly, children and women.
