Is Kais Saied dissolving the Muslim Brotherhood’s Ennahdha movement?
The political crisis in Tunisia has raised questions about the options for the next stage, for which President Kais Saied has drawn a roadmap. The Muslim Brotherhood’s Ennahdha movement has not stopped fueling the street and exporting the political crisis to him, observers say.
According to followers quoted by Alghad Channel, Ennahdha is seeking to spread tension in the Tunisian street, with the approach of being held accountable in dangerous cases, including conspiracy against the security of the state, espionage, and the exodus of young people to centers of terrorism, political assassinations and terrorism.
Observers noted that Ennahdha now realizes that it is close to dissolution if the charges against Ghannouchi and several other members of the Brotherhood are proven.
Tunisian President Kais Saied has vowed to issue a decree to prevent those he describes as putschists from participating in the upcoming elections.
Observers believe that the movement led by Ghannouchi tends to inflame the Tunisian street and export the political crisis to it.
There is no doubt that Ennahdha has failed every time to mobilize the street to prepare for its judicial accountability, amidst the state of anticipation in the country after Tunisian President Kais Saied vowed to prevent those he described as putschists from participating in the legislative elections expected at the end of this year.
Tunisian President Kais Saied announced at the end of March the dissolution of parliament in order to preserve the state, following a virtual meeting held by a number of MPs and Parliament Speaker Rached Ghannouchi.
