Yemen.. Iran’s Insistence on Undermining Yemen’s Stability Using Houthi Militia
The Mullah regime continues to insist on implementing its plans in Yemen through its military arm, the Houthi militia. Official statements from Iran reflect the regime’s insistence on supporting the Houthi militia and interfering in the country’s internal affairs in order to undermine stability and security and expand its influence in the Arab country, which has been suffering for years.
Iranian Role
The Yemeni Minister of Information and Culture, Muammar Al-Eryani, said that Iran is using the Houthis as a tool to undermine security and stability in the region and also blackmailing the international community, pointing out that the provocative statements issued by Ali Akbar Velayati, Khamenei’s advisor for international affairs, reaffirm the flagrant interference of the Tehran regime in the Yemeni affairs and the violation of the principle of national sovereignty.
He explained in tweets on his official Twitter account that a meeting with the leadership of the Houthi terrorist militia and his country’s acknowledgement of support for the Houthis, coinciding with the escalation of the militia’s destructive practices against the United Nations truce, reveal the Iranian role in the crisis and its responsibility to undermine the efforts to calm down, calling on the international community to carry out its responsibilities as stipulated by international laws and international conventions, and exert real pressure on the Tehran regime to stop its cells in the matter and the security in the region and the world.
The south is holding
On the ground, Yemeni media reports revealed that the South is taking a major step towards establishing stability on its territory, as part of efforts to remove the threat of terrorism from all of its territory. Days after the launch of Operation Eastern Arrow to liberate Abyan Province from terrorism, the Southern Armed Forces launched another operation under the title “Southern Arrow” to liberate Shabwah Province from terrorism.
The reports stated that the main objective is to extend the control of the Southern Armed Forces over the entire border of Shabwah Province. They added that the Southern forces participating in the operation place their priorities in pursuing terrorist groups and destroying terrorist elements’ hideouts throughout the province.
Iran tool
Southern National Assembly member Wadhah bin Attiyah said the Houthis do not think about the interests of the Yemeni people, and therefore are merely a tool used by Iran to carry out terrorist plans in the region and to try to control Yemen and specifically southern Yemen to control the wealth and property of the Yemeni people.
The member of the Southern Assembly added: Houthi awaits guidance from Iran in all terrorist plans that target the stability of Yemen, and even the region as a whole. He pointed out that Houthi commits terrorist crimes and violations against the Yemeni people at the direction of Iran, pointing out that despite all the terrorist plans of that terrorist militia supported by Iran, the terrorist forces found themselves suffering huge losses; it attempted to quickly obstruct the efforts of the south, and it carried out a terrorist operation that resulted in the martyrdom of a hero of the southern armed forces. Military developments in the south offer many hopes that the next stage will witness a qualitative leap, reinforcing the hopes of stability in the south, after the force of terrorism on the ground threatened the security of the south.
