Infant Killed in Severe Flooding in Malaysia
The Malaysian Meteorological Department anticipated continuous rainfall in the country until Monday, according to the Malaysian newspaper “The Star.”
According to the warning statement issued on Sunday, continuous rainfall is expected in all areas of Perlis, Kedah, and Penang, in addition to some areas in Perak, Terengganu, and Kelantan.
At the same time, Kelantan is expected to experience similar weather conditions in the areas of Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Pasoh, and Pasir Puteh.
The seasonal floods in the state of Kelantan have resulted in the first casualty, as a small child (18 months old) was found drowned in a river near his home in Kampung Kenari on Sunday.
