Key entities of the Muslim Brotherhood in Turkey… What do you know about ‘Imran Project’?
The Arab Center for Extremism Studies published a profile of the most important entities affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in Turkey.
The center stated that the Imran Project is one of the most important structures of the Muslim Brotherhood in Turkey, founded in Istanbul in 2019.
Quoting the project’s website, the center stated that it is a “leading platform in managing youth development projects, contributing to the establishment of an enlightened society. It works to lead the nation towards leadership and global competitiveness, investing in the religious and civilizational heritage, and making optimal use of contemporary tools in planning, management, leadership, and institutionalism.”
According to the center, the project is organizationally divided into four main departments: a department specialized in cognitive services, tasked with providing analytical studies and research on the reality of the Islamic nation, forecasting its future, and monitoring the developments of global powers in the East and West. The project platform is responsible for developing future plans and evolving ideas and strategies suitable for the Renaissance project based on sound scientific foundations, as well as identifying government and non-governmental institutions worldwide that influence the nation’s developmental path.
The third department is the Training Academy, tasked with providing a scientific and well-thought-out training methodology in establishing and managing developmental projects. This is achieved by training youth in skills such as planning, management, marketing, finance, and resource diversification through recorded and live online courses. The academy aims to empower and guide them in civil institutions through counseling and mentoring.
The fourth department is the Interactive Service, with the mission of communicating and networking with youth and institutions interested in development and progress in the Islamic world. This is done by presenting ideas and projects, marketing them, attracting trained competencies, and empowering and guiding youth carrying distinctive and creative ideas.
Regarding administration, the center stated that the actual head of the project is the Kuwaiti preacher Tariq Al-Suwaidan, a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Gulf. Ibrahim Hawari, the former advisor to the Al Jazeera Center for Media Training in Qatar, holds the position of Executive Director.
