People and Stone… The Muslim Brotherhood Spreads Corruption in Taiz

Residents of the Yemeni city of Taiz are living through a terrifying breakdown of security at the hands of armed groups affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, who have brought destruction, murder, and brutal repression to the local population.

Mass killings, human rights violations, chaos, violence, looting, and theft are rampant in Taiz, which has become a major stronghold for the Brotherhood and terrorist organizations, with no oversight or accountability.

Local authorities are making desperate attempts to cover up the crimes of their militias by resorting to suppression, intimidation of journalists and media professionals, and terrorizing the people of Taiz. Citizens are being threatened, deprived of their rights, killed, or unlawfully imprisoned, according to Al-Amnane Net.

The newspaper published a comprehensive report exposing the crimes of the Al-Islah Party—the Brotherhood’s political arm in Yemen—and its militias, which include killings, clashes, arbitrary arrests of civilians, and even abuses against animals. Brotherhood militias reportedly seized cattle, such as oxen used for plowing farmland.

In a separate incident, the Director General of the Public Slaughterhouses and Meat Markets Authority in Taiz governorate, Hussein Al-Muqtri, disclosed that one of the institution’s facilities had been stormed by a battalion commander from the 145th Brigade, which is affiliated with the Taiz Axis loyal to the Muslim Brotherhood.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Al-Muqtri stated that the commander had broken into the facility’s well room in the Al-Dhabab area, using weapons. He broke open the pump room, dismantled its equipment, opened the “gazelle” (a water control valve), and turned the well into a private water source for illegal sale.

Furthermore, a shocking incident has raised concerns about the future of healthcare personnel in Taiz. An official document revealed a serious professional failure within the administrative structure of one of the city’s most prominent medical institutes, which is under the control of the Al-Islah Party. It was found that the institute is managed by individuals with no connection to the medical field, raising alarming questions about the quality of training and the qualifications of healthcare graduates.
