Saudi : Intercept Houthi Ballistic Missile Fired at Jazan
The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced Thursday that the Saudi air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia towards Jazan, southern Saudi Arabia.
The Coalition affirmed that the air defenses efficiently thwarted all the militias’ futile attempts to attack the Kingdom.
It also accused the Houthis of deliberately targeting civilians, stressing that it’s taking the necessary operational measures in accordance with international humanitarian law to terminate the sources of threat.
Earlier, the Coalition destroyed two Houthi booby-trapped boats in the al-Salif area, Hodeidah.
The Coalition released footage documenting the operation as it destroyed the two boats.
On Wednesday, Saudi air defenses also destroyed an explosives-laden drone launched by the Houthi group toward Abha airport in the southwest of the Kingdom.
The Coalition confirmed that it takes operational measures to protect civilians and civil targets under international humanitarian law.
