Arab League adopts full map of Morocco

The Arab League has sent a memo to its member states and partners informing them of the League’s decision to adopt a full map of Morocco, which includes the country’s southern provinces, in all events.

Arab diplomatic sources in the Arab League said that this regional organization circulated the memorandum to its affiliated bodies and organizations and demanded that they abide by its contents.

The Arab League’s position follows the protests of the Algerian delegation against the adoption of the official map of Morocco integrating the Sahara during an event organized by the Organization of Arab Women.

The League of Arab States attached its memorandum, addressed to all its organizations and bodies, to a complete map of the Arab world, including the map of Morocco, which includes the southern provinces of the Kingdom.

The recent ministerial meeting of Arab housing ministers, held in Amman, Jordan, emphasized the need to respect geography and the sovereignty of states.

Moreover, during the recent ministerial meeting of Arab Ministers of Housing, all the participants stressed the need to respect the geography and the sovereignty of each State in all future events that will be held; organized by organizations affiliated with the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing, through the adoption of a complete and undivided map of the Arab world.
