Arab Coalition interrupted six explosive drones launched towards Saudi’s Khamis Mushait
The Arab Coalition declared that it had demolished today six explosive drones launched towards Saudi Arabia, with Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi militia alleged that it launched an assault on southern Saudi Arabia at dawn.
The Coalition reported in a statement carried by state news agency SPA that Houthis launched the drones towards Khamis Mushait near the Yemen border in attacks at dawn and during the morning, while the six drones were interrupted and demolished.
In fact, Yemen’s Houthi movement frequently launches drones and missiles towards Saudi Arabia, while Riyadh states that it interrupts many of them.
Moreover, the Coalition demolished, on Thursday, a ballistic missile launched towards the Kingdom’s Jazan region, which wounding at least five civilians. Certain assaults have previously strike Abha International Airport that is about 120 kilometer (75 miles) from the border with Yemen.
Otherwise, the Houthis declared that an attack on the Abha airport caused fire of civilian plane. The militia also said that the airport was a military target, in what AFP reported.
Furthermore, the US Treasury Department imposed new sanctions, on Tuesday on two Houthi military heads.
