Armed Egyptian Kills 3 Coworkers and Commits Suicide
An armed individual of Egyptian nationality killed three people at a maritime shipping company headquarters in a coastal suburb of Athens last Monday before committing suicide, according to a source in the Greek police.
The gunman stormed the building belonging to “European Product Carriers” company, killing two men and a woman before barricading himself inside.
Greek media reported that the gunman was an Egyptian employee who had been dismissed from the company, and he was found dead in the basement with his weapon beside him.
A police source stated that preliminary conclusions indicate he committed suicide.
Police surrounded the building after the man held hostages, and roads were evacuated.
Earlier, the police mentioned that their forces entered the building and rescued two women held captive by the gunman in the bathrooms.
