Defended His Mother, Father Throws Him off the Fourth Floor
A tragic incident unfolded in the “Al Manira” neighborhood in Cairo, where an Egyptian young man lost his life defending his mother against his father, who subsequently threw him off the fourth floor, causing him to breathe his last breath immediately.
Preliminary investigations by the investigative authorities indicate that a dispute erupted between Mahmoud Ramadan, a 56-year-old metal plumber, and his wife. Their son, Mustafa, a 26-year-old driver, intervened to defend his mother when he saw his father physically assaulting her. The father then proceeded to throw him from the fourth-floor staircase of the residential building they lived in.
Investigations also revealed that the cause of the altercation stemmed from disagreements over the household budget and spending priorities. According to the victim’s autopsy, death resulted from a fracture in the skull base and bleeding in the brain and lungs.
The accused father defended himself, denying any intention to kill his son, stating that he acted impulsively, pushing him away to prevent the situation from escalating further. He was shocked to see him fall from the top of the stairs to the ground, covered in blood.
The victim’s brother, named Islam, affirmed in his police statement that his brother sacrificed his life for his bravery in defending their mother and refusing to tolerate any insults directed towards her.
