Kuwait’s Emir Says won’t Allow Anyone to Undermine Security, Stability
Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said on Wednesday the country wouldn’t allow anyone to undermine its security and stability.
Speaking during his speech on the last ten days of Ramadan, Sheikh Nawaf said cooperation between authorities and institutions was the idea for any successful national action and therefore the best thanks to achieve development.
“I have affirmed that cooperation between the State’s bodies is that the basis of any successful national action and therefore the optimal method for achievement to satisfy development aspirations desired by the country’s people, in line with the democratic path.”
Sheikh Nawaf also called on the country to avoid tensions and discrimination that hinder the progress of development and said it had been committed to the democratic approach.
He urged everyone to face against social media rumors and to countercheck the accuracy of reports to understand the full truth.
“We are facing exceptional conditions for quite a year that required vigilance and caution because of the coronavirus which has been affecting the full world,” the Emir said.
“This required further understanding and patience in handling the repercussion of this pandemic,” he added, urging all people to abide by health precautions.
Sheikh Nawaf commended efforts made by the frontline staff in combating the coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The frontline staff have assumed responsibilities to face the epidemic, endangering themselves so as to combat this disease, the Emir noted.
