One dead and many wounded in confrontations between GNA factions in Libya’s Tajoura
According to Al Arabiya sources, one person was killed and many others were injured during confrontations between different groups within the Government of National Accord (GNA) in the Libyan town of Tajoura, while any further details were given.
It should be noted that since 2014, Libya has been divided, with a government controlling the capital, Tripoli, and the northwest, whereas military head Khalifa Haftar in Benghazi governs the east. In fact, Haftar is backed by the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Russia, while the GNA is supported by Turkey.
