Saudi Arabia came the first in Arab world, and 17th worldwide about the research on Coronavirus
According to the Kingdom’s Minister of Education, Saudi Arabia has classified first in the Arab region and 17th internationally in terms of university research on Coronavirus. It also reported that Saudi Arabia represent 1.8 percent of the global research production.
The Minister related in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that Saudi universities published research on coronavirus representing 83.4 percent of the Kingdom’s production. Actually, this was accomplished by national efforts that began since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The SPA cited what the Minister of Education Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh said that the Ministry has been keen to organize a number of specialized events, with the participation of a large number of universities and Saudi research centers, researchers and academics.
He also said: The Ministry has also keen on coordinating universities’ efforts through specialized workshops to raise the efficiency and contribution of researches to address the COVID-19 pandemic.
