UAE Distributes Aid to 13 Countries Worldwide… What Did They Provide?
The Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works distributed 20,000 winter kits to 13 countries around the world as part of the “Winter Kit” program adopted by the foundation to alleviate the severity of winter for low-income families in some countries.
According to WAM news agency, the winter kit contains the basic components needed by families in the winter season, aiming to alleviate the harshness of winter for them and provide suitable winter clothing.
The “Winter Kit” program for this year covers several countries in different regions of the world, including Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan, Chad, Ethiopia, Kosovo, Albania, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, the Director-General of the Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, affirmed the foundation’s commitment to its humanitarian role in serving low-income segments of society in several countries around the world during the winter season.
He pointed out that the “Winter Kit” program is a form of solidarity and compassion that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan used to implement.
Al Falahi added that promoting the culture of charity and humanitarian work, assisting deserving segments, and implementing charitable programs and projects meet the needs of wide societal segments by harnessing our financial resources for the good of humanity and assisting those in need to improve their quality of life.
He emphasized that this comes within the framework of the social responsibility carried by the foundation and is in line with the wise leadership’s directives in the UAE, and is implemented in accordance with the guidance of Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation.
