The actions of Hamas and Palestinian factions have revealed their links with Iran, against Arabs
Houthi and other Palestinian factions have shared hollow slogans and a malicious agenda for years. Trading on the nation’s issues has allowed them to hoard funds that eventually entered their own leadership’s accounts.
Palestinian factions support Houthi
The pro-Iranian Palestinian factions declared their support for the Houthi terrorist militias against the Arab Gulf, especially after the Gulf exposed the trading of crises by the leaders of these factions and their backers in many cases to obtain funding on behalf of the Palestinian cause.
Al-Zahar’s opportunistic statements
Mahmoud al-Zahar, a Hamas leader, made the remarks about his support for the Houthis against the Gulf, a statement that angered thousands of angry Twitter users.
Mahmoud Al-Zahar made this statement through an Iranian-funded, Arabic-speaking channel. A member of the Political Bureau of Hamas attacked the Arab coalition in Yemen, likening the liberation battles of this Arab country to the “Israeli occupation”.
Hamas lifts Houthi photos
These irresponsible statements were translated by Hamas on the ground with demonstrations in support of the Houthis in the Gaza Strip; Members of the pro-Iran Muslim Brotherhood movement raised pictures of Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and Hassan Nasrallah, the terrorist leader of Hezbollah, declaring Hamas to be one of the triangle of evil for Iran’s proxies in the region.
The statements of the Hamas leader came in conjunction with a Houthi terrorist attack on a civilian site in the United Arab Emirates, which was condemned by all countries and international organizations. Al-Zahar and Hamas confirmed that the Muslim Brotherhood movement always chooses to split ranks and to oppose any Arab will.
Arab anger
At the time, Hamas aroused wide Arab and Gulf anger, especially with the discovery of the truth about the trade movement in the Palestinian cause, and the spread of hashtags: “The Battle to Restore Consciousness Continues,” and “The Palestinian Supports Houthi,” referring to Hamas.
The Twittersphere reposted photos and videos related to the Palestinian marches in Gaza in support of Nasrallah and Al-Houthi, amid widespread condemnation and awareness of the terrorist link between Hamas and Iran’s proxies in the region.
Houthi takeover of Palestinian funds
Meanwhile, the Iranian-backed Houthi militia refused to transfer the equivalent of $4 million from the Yemeni Kanaan Association for Palestine account, hours after the charity announced the donation to the Palestinian embassy in Yemen.
the Kanaan Society for Palestine; One of the most prominent Yemeni NGOs founded in support of the Palestinian people’s struggle in mid-April 2003. It is run by the nephew of former Yemeni President General Yahya Saleh.
Caring for 10,000 Palestinians
The Association sponsored more than 10,000 Palestinians in Yemen and Palestine before the Houthi militia took control of its headquarters in Sanaa on December 2, 2017, following the uprising of the late President Ali Abdullah Saleh, and in early November 2019, it attempted to legitimize the theft of its frozen assets in Yemeni banks.
In a statement, the association announced a donation of $4 million to support the Palestinian people, and confirmed that the amount is ready to be transferred from the association’s Yemen account through the Palestinian embassy, so it can transfer it to the Palestinian interior.
A few hours later, before the Houthi militia announced its refusal to transfer the money from the bank it controls in Sanaa, claiming that the president of the Kanaan Association for Palestine donated the money from its opponents.
Evading repayment
The coup militia, led by Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, called for donations to be made through the Bank of Aden or Marib in an apparent attempt to evade the return of Palestinian funds looted by the rebels.
The militia’s refusal and looting of the charity’s funds is the latest illustration of the militia’s naming Palestine as a hideout for looting Yemeni money.
Donation in the name of Jerusalem
The coup militia had previously militarized the “resistance tent”, an Arab platform supporting the struggles of the Palestinian people in Sana’a.
Houthi’s refusal to allow the transfer of charitable support coincided with demonstrations by the militia, ostensibly in solidarity with Palestine, the opening of donations, and the imposition of taxes and recruitment campaigns for youth and children in the name of supporting Jerusalem and the Palestinian resistance.
