President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed addresses nation
President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan addressed on Wednesday his sons and brothers, the people of the United Arab Emirates and those residing on its good land.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan began his speech by saying: “We lost the big heart beforehand.. the parent leader… The wise teacher… Dear to the heart of the young, before the old, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, and we accept his departure with patient hearts that believe in God’s judgment and destiny. We ask God for mercy and forgiveness”.
He continued: “Sheikh Khalifa, may God rest his soul, accompanied the founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, at all stages of the UAE… and he held the trust of the nation after his departure with sincerity and wisdom .. He delivered his message to his people. He left an immortal legacy for the people of the region and the world”.
He added: “Today, we see our homeland among the countries of the world as Zayed and the founders, may God have mercy on all of them.. From a high position and a strong and developed country.. Thank god for this blessings… They will continue, God willing, on their approach, their wisdom and their vision”.
He continued: “We draw lessons from them, lessons in leadership and will.. Our history, identity and cultural heritage will remain an essential part of our plans for the future”.
He thanked the rulers of the UAE, saying: “I thank my brothers… Members of the Federal Supreme Council and the rulers of the UAE, who have entrusted me with great responsibility … I pray to God to help me carry it”.
He continued: “Our cooperation will be.. and our hearts become fixed .. and our people circumvent their leaders.. It has always been the source of our strength and the pride of our state”.
He also thanked “all the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries, who expressed their feelings of solidarity and sincere condolences to the UAE and its people on the death of the UAE’s lost Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, May God rest his soul”.

He stressed that “the UAE will continue its firm approach in strengthening the bridges of partnership and dialog and effective and balanced relations based on trust, credibility and mutual respect with the countries of the world to achieve stability and prosperity for all”.
