Health of Ghannouchi deteriorates after his arrest… New Islamist game, similar to the Brotherhood in Egypt

Following his arrest on charges of inciting national security and calling for violence, several Brotherhood leaders announced that the health of their leader, Rached Ghannouchi, had deteriorated and that he was taken to hospital after national security forces arrested the movement’s leader, Rached Ghannouchi, over a leaked video. In a speech to his supporters last Saturday, the Brotherhood’s leader said: “The removal of Ennahdha from power is a prelude to the civil war in Tunisia and the beginning of the outbreak of chaos in the country.”

Incitement and terrorism

It is interesting that these Brotherhood games have not changed, as they were previously with Brotherhood leader Saad Al-Katatni in Egypt, and he was transferred to the hospital as well as with the former Brotherhood leader and other Brotherhood leaders who take advantage of health problems after being arrested on charges of terrorism and incitement, which is what Ghannouchi has done at the present time.

A report by Roaya revealed that Ghannouchi is being prosecuted in other terrorism-related cases and is still under investigation in connection with the case of Tunisians traveling to fight with terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq. He is also being investigated on suspicion of money laundering linked to suspicious money transfers from abroad to a charity called Nama Tounes.

Ennahdha games

Oussama Aouidet, a Tunisian political analyst, says that the Muslim Brotherhood’s methods and games are repeating themselves in Tunisia as what happened in Egypt before, pointing out that all that the Muslim Brotherhood Ennahdha Movement is doing is nothing but allegations, similar to what was happening in Egypt, is itself taking advantage of sickness and health problems in order to implicate the state in it, and that they arrest sick and old people and other allegations and Brotherhood methods that are used from time to time against the state, in order to gain sympathy from the Tunisian citizens.

Crimes and terrorism have been committed against the state, and these are the charges for which Ghannouchi is being tried and arrested. This hostile approach still impresses the movement, which has remained loyal to its roots whenever the noose around it tightens. In recent statements to its supporters, the leader of the Ennahdha Movement, Rached Ghannouchi, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, threatened that removing Ennahdha from power is a prelude to the civil war in Tunisia and the beginning of the chaos in the country; he is currently on trial.
