A report reveals the scale of American aid to the Israeli army since the start of the war… Get to know it
Since the early hours of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden has taken a strong and firm stance in supporting Israel militarily, politically, and diplomatically. A report by the Hebrew channel (12) revealed that (244) American transport planes and (20) ships have transported more than (10) thousand tons of weapons and military equipment to Israel since the beginning of the war on Gaza.
The report stated that the Israeli Ministry of Defense purchased additional weapons worth (40) billion shekels, equivalent to (2.8) billion dollars from the United States. The Hebrew channel’s report indicated that all lines of production in the Israeli military industries are working around the clock to supply the Israeli army with its military needs in the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
The television report comes following a statement by Knesset member from the Likud party, Tali Gottleib, in a recent meeting with members of her party, where she claimed that the quantity of artillery shelling targeting Hamas-affiliated targets in southern Gaza has significantly decreased over the past (3) weeks.
The Hebrew report also addressed what it claims to be allegations that the Israeli army is engaged in what it described as “armament economics,” or in other words, the policy of retaining ammunition to ensure it does not run out. It denied, at the same time, any cases since the beginning of the war where the air and ground forces did not fire at Hamas targets due to an ammunition shortage.
Since the establishment of the occupation state in Palestinian territories, the United States has sought to support it militarily with billions of dollars in weapons and equipment. However, in the “Storm Al-Aqsa” battle, the U.S. significantly expanded its military support, even sending forces to support Israel in this battle.
The United States decided to increase its military aid to the Israeli army, as expressed by President Joe Biden in a televised speech on October 20, 2023, where he called on Congress to approve an “urgent and unprecedented” budget allocated to support Israel with (14.3) billion dollars.
The United States has provided weapons, aircraft, and ships, and U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that his country would supply Israel with a special operations forces cell that has already begun assisting Israel in intelligence and military planning operations.
