Her fingers to Ukraine… Russia announces new evidence regarding the hall attack

Various Russian narratives still insist that Ukrainian fingers are linked to the terrorist attack that targeted the concert hall last month.

The Russian Investigative Committee stated today, Friday, that the shooting at the Crocus Hall near the capital Moscow may be linked to the special military operation conducted by the country in Ukraine.

The committee, according to the Russian TASS news agency, explained that they found pictures of fighters with the Ukrainian flag on the mobile phone of one of the suspects, in addition to pictures of a Ukrainian postage stamp, considering it as possible evidence.

The terrorist organization ISIS claimed responsibility for this attack, the bloodiest of its kind within a European country, which resulted in nearly 144 deaths and numerous injuries, but Moscow did not accept that what happened was just a terrorist act.

The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated earlier this month that he had no information about external warnings to Russia before the massacre at the concert hall.

ISIS previously occupied large areas of Iraq and Syria, imposing terror rule and encouraging lone wolf attacks in Western countries, but it was declared defeated in 2017.

What is known as “ISIS-Khorassan Province”, one of the most feared branches, threatens to revive the organization by shedding blood on a large scale, including attacks on Russian territory.

“ISIS-Khorassan Province” emerged in eastern Afghanistan in late 2014, quickly gaining notoriety for its brutal actions.

It was named after an ancient region that includes parts of Iran, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan.
