The Muslim Brotherhood Incites Citizens to Take Up Arms… Manipulation Continues in Sudan

The Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan, as usual, uses Islamic rhetoric to incite and mobilize citizens to carry arms and fight under the pretext of jihad.

A leader of the dissolved National Congress Party (the Islamic Movement), Naji Mustafa, called on worshippers to mobilize and fight alongside him against the Rapid Support Forces, saying that carrying arms for jihad is by order of the Prophet Muhammad, and does not require permission from Al-Burhan, the army, or the Sovereignty Council, according to Al-Rakoba newspaper.

Naji Mustafa was preaching to worshippers in a mosque and dramatically brandished his weapon, prompting one worshipper to rise and embrace him tearfully, reflecting the advanced level to which the manipulators go to deceive and mislead citizens, many of whom die daily either by violence or starvation.

The video sparked outrage and mockery from activists on social media, with some describing it as “absurd,” while others considered it an indicator of defection from the Sudanese army and joining terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda and ISIS.

Many Sudanese activists on social media criticized the statements of the Islamist leader, affirming that the Brotherhood aims to incite a civil war that would engulf everyone, without concern for anyone, because their families are abroad, and their children are attending graduation parties in Rwanda and Tanzania.

Another activist pointed out that Mustafa’s statements are extremely dangerous because his talk about carrying arms not being by order of the army or the Sovereignty Council indicates that the honeymoon between the military leadership and the Islamists may be over, possibly due to changes in the position of the armed forces regarding negotiations with the Rapid Support Forces.
