“39 Minutes” of Dancing and Singing: Trump’s Practical Response to Criticisms about His Age
For 39 minutes, Donald Trump swayed and danced to music at an election rally in South Dakota.
It seemed that Trump, during the event titled “Town Hall” led by South Dakota’s Republican Governor Kristi L. Noem, was responding to criticisms from his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, regarding his age.

The event began with questions from pre-selected attendees addressed to the former president and Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
Trump gave vague answers about how he would address issues such as housing affordability and helping small businesses, but the event took an unexpected turn when two attendees needed medical assistance, according to the Washington Post.
In a report, the paper noted that Trump joked with the audience, asking if “anyone else wanted to faint,” before the situation shifted.

For 39 minutes, Trump swayed, danced, and occasionally stopped to talk as the event turned into a listening session of his favorite songs. Nine songs from the playlist he personally curated were played while Noem stood beside him.
On the X platform, Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung wrote: “A complete lovefest at the Town Hall! Everyone was so excited that they fainted, so the former president turned to music.”

Trump has angered a number of artists and musicians who asked him to stop playing their music at his campaign events, including singer Céline Dion.

Trump returns to court… and the reason is a song
Trump’s decision to shorten the Q&A time at the Town Hall and instead listen to his favorite songs was somewhat unusual, especially with the presidential election only 22 days away.
This move also came at a time when Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris described her 78-year-old Republican opponent as unstable and questioned his mental sharpness.
Between the songs, Trump spoke briefly, saying: “This is the most important election in our country’s history,” once again accusing the Democrats of weaponizing the election process.
