Plane Crash in Costa Rica… Uncertainty Surrounds Passengers’ Fate
Costa Rica witnessed the crash of a small plane, a “Cessna 206 Stationair,” southeast of the capital San José near Pico Blanco Mountain.
Civil aviation authorities reported that the fate of the six passengers on board remains unconfirmed.
Search and rescue teams managed to locate the plane’s wreckage on the mountainside. However, the identities and conditions of the passengers have not yet been disclosed.
It is noted that the plane had departed from the Tortuguero region on the northern Caribbean coast, heading to the capital, San José.
The Costa Rican Red Cross pointed out that rescue teams are facing difficulties in reaching the crash site due to the challenging terrain. Rescuers are working tirelessly to reach the location and provide assistance.
