Direct Hit: Iranian Drone Strikes Residential Building in Northern Israel

The Israeli emergency service “Magen David Adom” reported on Saturday that an Iranian drone struck a two-story residential building in the city of Beit She’an in northern Israel, without causing any casualties.

The statement noted that medical teams arrived at the scene immediately after the attack, assessed the damage caused by the strike, and confirmed that no victims were found at the site.

The incident occurred just minutes after the Israeli army issued a warning about the infiltration of a “hostile aerial object” into the region’s airspace.

Ongoing Escalation

This event comes on the ninth day of open military conflict between Israel and Iran.

Since the outbreak of hostilities, Tehran and Tel Aviv have exchanged large-scale missile and air strikes. In recent days, Iran has used dozens of drones and long-range ballistic missiles to target bases and areas in central and southern Israel in retaliation for heavy Israeli air raids on military and nuclear sites in Iran, including locations in Isfahan, Tehran, and Khuzestan.

Drone attacks in northern Israel represent a tactical shift by Iran, aiming to pressure Israel’s interior with weapons that are harder to detect or fully intercept.

The Israeli military had previously acknowledged that its air defense systems were under heavy strain due to repeated and complex attacks involving simultaneous missile and drone strikes.

Mutual Statements and Warnings

Earlier this week, former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he is “seriously considering” a strike on Iran in light of increasing threats to Washington’s allies in the region.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called for a “mutual” ceasefire, urging both sides to show restraint, while European efforts continue to arrange an emergency meeting in Geneva between Iran and the European troika to seek a diplomatic solution to the crisis.

Casualty Figures in Iran and Israel

According to the latest statistics, Iran’s Ministry of Health has announced that the death toll from Israeli strikes has reached 430, with more than 3,500 injured, including dozens of women and children. Five members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were also reported killed.

In contrast, Israeli sources have reported 24 fatalities and over 800 injured on their side.
