Kim keeps pushing forward… North Korea will develop its missiles over the next five years

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un continues to challenge the world with his insistence on advancing the country’s missile programs.

According to the Korean Central News Agency, Kim said that Pyongyang will continue working on missile development over the next five years.

During a visit to major ammunition factories, he stated that “the sector responsible for missile and projectile production plays a crucial role in strengthening the nation’s military deterrence.”

The agency reported that Kim approved draft documents for upgrades to key weapons factories, which will be presented at a major party conference scheduled for early 2026, where a five-year development plan for North Korea is expected to be adopted.

The report followed Thursday’s disclosure that Kim had inspected the construction of an 8,700-ton nuclear-powered submarine, accompanied by his daughter, seen as a possible successor, in addition to overseeing tests of long-range surface-to-air missiles.
