Mojtaba Khamenei: Iran Will Determine the Timing and Terms for Ending the War
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has instructed the armed forces to update their target list to include “all tangible and intangible American and Israeli assets” within the scope of potential strikes if military attacks against Iran resume. He asserted that Iran would determine the “timing and terms” for ending the war.
In a written message, Khamenei said the “armed forces must respond immediately and effectively to any threat from enemies, without being confined to a specific geographical area”.
He also called for “strengthening military intelligence capabilities and developing domestic defence capabilities, alongside increasing the production of ammunition and weapons intended for reconnaissance, support and combat operations”.
Khamenei stressed that “Iran will determine the timing and terms for ending any new conflict if its adversaries resume military or terrorist attacks against it”.
Iranian Army Issues Warning
Iranian army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia, meanwhile, warned the United States against what he described as “another adventure” in the region, saying such a move would spread the war across a wider geographical area.
Akraminia said the Iranian army was closely monitoring US movements in the region and continuously strengthening its combat readiness. He added that Tehran did not trust US actions, citing what he described as the American president’s record of betraying diplomatic efforts.
He warned that any new US military action could broaden the confrontation, stressing that the decision to end the war would not rest with the US president alone.
