Saudi woman attacked her ex-husband via WhatsApp… She received severe punishment
A criminal court in the Saudi city of Jeddah has sentenced a female citizen to 3 days in prison after convicting her of sending messages of insults and bad words to her ex-husband. The verdict included a pledge that the woman would not go back to what she had made.
According to the ruling, which was reviewed by Saudi sources, the Specialized Disciplinary Department of the Criminal Court examined the facts of the lawsuit filed by the husband against his ex-wife, accusing her of pursuing him through WhatsApp messages and text messages with dozens of insults, and contempt, despite the end of their marital relationship 7 years ago.
According to the ruling, the wife sent letters to her ex-husband, including “dictator,” “insensitive robot,” “spiteful,” “psychopath,” “filthy,” “immoral,” “traitor,” and other bad words, threats, insults.
The defendant admitted that the letters in question were issued from her mobile phone to her ex-husband, and justified this by saying that the letters were in response to insults directed at her, in addition to throwing out words at her and malcreating her with her family.
The court decided to refer the defendant and her ex-husband to the Peace Committee to try to settle the case, but the reconciliation efforts failed. The court found the defendant guilty of what was attributed to her and sentenced her to 72 hours in prison with a pledge not to be shot.
