A Republican Suggests Eliminating Biden’s Dog
South Dakota’s Republican governor, Kristi Noem, proposed killing President Joe Biden‘s dog, which has been involved in several “biting” incidents resulting in injuries to several Secret Service members at the White House, she said.
Noem, during her appearance on the CBS program “Face the Nation” on Sunday, said that the dog, which was removed from the White House last fall, deserved to be put down.
Noem’s statement comes after her own 14-month-old dog was attacked, which she claimed was the right thing to do for a dog threatening the lives of others and incapable of being trained or fulfilling its duties as a hunting dog.
She told interviewer Margaret Brennan: “Joe Biden‘s dog attacked 24 Secret Service members.” “So, how many people need to be attacked and seriously injured before deciding the fate of a dog?”
Biden‘s dog, “Commander,” was sent to an undisclosed location after the Secret Service recorded 24 biting incidents involving him between October 2022 and July 2023, with about half requiring medical care.
Biden‘s dog is a German Shepherd known for its firmness and has been a burden on the employees of the White House garden.
