Aid Plane from the UAE Arrives in Chad in Support of Sudanese Refugees


An Emirati aid plane arrived in the city of Am Djars in Chad, carrying food parcels provided by the UAE Red Crescent Authority, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works. The plane was received by representatives of humanitarian entities in the country, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ahmed Obaid Al Zahiri, the head of the UAE Red Crescent delegation in Chad, stated that the current team in Amdjarass will deliver this aid to Sudanese refugees and the local community in Chad, in compliance with the wise leadership’s directives to extend a helping hand to those in need.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Al Zahiri mentioned that the charity team in Amdjarass is monitoring the food and humanitarian needs of the Sudanese refugees in order to provide them with assistance to alleviate their suffering due to the current conditions in their country.

The team continues to provide all forms of support to the Sudanese refugees and fulfill their basic needs, reflecting the UAE’s pioneering role in charitable and humanitarian work.
