Endless crises.. Conflict rages within the Brotherhood terrorist organization

Crisis after crisis facing the Muslim Brotherhood abroad between the London and Istanbul fronts In a new attempt to block his opponents again, Mahmoud Hussein, the leader of the Istanbul Front of the Muslim Brotherhood, made his appearance for the first time in an interview broadcast on one of the group’s satellite channels after declaring himself the acting leader of the Istanbul Front.

The ongoing conflict

The meeting reportedly carried many messages and signals about the current situation and the state of the conflict within the Brotherhood. The most prominent of these messages was an emphasis on its legitimacy, its claim to communicate with the organization in Egypt, the liquidation of its opponents, the call for reuniting, and the new thing is denying the organization’s decadence, and finally an attempt to block the expected decision of the London Front to declare Salah Abdel-Haq acting as Supreme Guide.

During the interview, Mahmoud Hussein called on the Brotherhood’s members to “continue working under his leadership, given his organizational and regulatory (legitimacy), as he is a member of the Organization Guidance Bureau, and he is entitled, based on Article 5 of the Regulation, to be the charge d’affaires.” He continued that “the members of the Brotherhood’s Consultative Council in Istanbul” pressured him, and insisted that they hold him responsible.

A continuing crisis

Dr. Ibrahim Rabie, a researcher specializing in terrorist groups and a leading Muslim Brotherhood defector, says: The emergence of Mahmoud Hussein is an attempt to show that he is very popular within the Brotherhood, but it is indicative of the extent of the internal differences within the terrorist group.

The Muslim Brotherhood dissident said that Mahmoud Hussein blocked the expected decision of the London Front to appoint Salah Abdel-Haq as acting leader after learning that they would announce the decision early next year.

He stressed that the Muslim Brotherhood has entered into serious internal disputes and divisions that will not be resolved at this time, but will increase in the leadership conflicts between the two sides in London and Istanbul during this critical period in which the terrorist Brotherhood is living externally, pointing out that there is no hope to contain the internal crisis of the Brotherhood or to heal these differences, which reached all ranks of the Brotherhood and were built upon in organizational decisions that cannot be reversed or avoided.
