Mohamed bin Zayed’s Ramadan Gatherings: Inspiring Messages

Inspiring messages and wise guidance outline the roadmap to a more prosperous and advanced future under the banner of unity, aiming to achieve the UAE’s centennial goal in 2071: to become the best and most advanced country in the world.

These messages reflect the UAE leadership’s commitment to humanitarian work, parliamentary affairs, advancing education, investing in human capital, and preserving the nation’s historical heritage to provide valuable lessons for future generations.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s gatherings with various segments of society are a hallmark of the holy month of Ramadan in the UAE, embodying the spirit of unity and cohesion between the leadership and the people.

Throughout the blessed month, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed met with members of the Supreme Council of the Union, the rulers of the Emirates, crown princes, deputy rulers, and sheikhs.

He also met with a delegation from the Federal National Council, several officials, as well as a group of distinguished teachers, administrators, and students from various schools across the UAE.

Humanitarian Commitment

In one of his most recent meetings, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed, last Thursday at the Al Bateen Palace Majlis in Abu Dhabi, a delegation of supporters and organizers of the “UAE with You, Lebanon” campaign, launched by the UAE last October under the supervision of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his gratitude to the campaign’s supporters and organizers for their efforts and effective humanitarian response in aiding the Lebanese people, embodying the values of kindness and generosity that define Emirati society.

He conveyed several key messages, including:

  • The UAE continues to extend a helping hand to those in need worldwide, in line with its deeply rooted humanitarian approach.
  • Positive societal engagement with various humanitarian initiatives launched by the state contributes to their success and is highly valued by the leadership.

These messages, with global relevance, illustrate the UAE’s steadfast commitment—under the guidance of its wise leadership—to uphold the legacy of the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and continue his path of philanthropy, humanitarian aid, and charitable initiatives worldwide.

For years, the UAE has been ranked as the world’s top donor of foreign aid in proportion to its national income.

Since the union’s founding in 1971 until mid-2024, the UAE’s foreign aid has amounted to 360 billion dirhams (approximately $98 billion), averaging 6.8 billion dirhams annually over 53 years.

These figures highlight the UAE’s dedication to sustaining and expanding its charitable efforts, establishing it as a global capital of generosity.

Investing in Human Capital

Three days before this gathering, on March 10, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a delegation of teachers, administrators, and outstanding students in honor of Ramadan.

He congratulated them on the holy month, prayed for their well-being and that of their families, and commended their exceptional contributions to education. He shared several key messages:

In this spirit, the UAE celebrated its first “UAE Education Day” on February 28 this year, following a directive by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
