Oman stands in solidarity with Saudi Arabia regarding the Khashoggi report


According to the official Oman News Agency, Oman showed on Saturday its position in solidarity with Saudi Arabia about the report released by the United States Congress on the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi.

On Friday, the Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry stated that the Saudi government completely rejects the negative, false, and unacceptable assessment of the US about the report relating to the Kingdom’s leadership regarding the assassination of the late Jamal Khashoggi.

Oman News Agency also reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the Sultanate’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its position regarding the report that was provided to the US Congress on the murder of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi, may God have mercy on him.

Oman’s foreign ministry declared that it appreciates the efforts and actions of the competent judicial authorities in the Kingdom regarding the case and its circumstances.

Furthermore, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait also showed their position with Saudi Arabia’s position on the US intelligence report on the murder of Khashoggi.

Otherwise, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation (GCC) Council Nayef al-Hajraf showed his backing for the statements released by Saudi Arabia on the United States about report relating to the Kingdom’s leadership regarding the assassination of the late Jamal Khashoggi.

In a statement on Saturday, Al-Hajraf also said that the evaluation of the Saudi Arabian leadership’s involvement in the assassination of Khashoggi is not based on conclusive proof.
