Saudi Arabia announces the start of the Umrah season for citizens, residents, and Gulf nationals

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Tuesday the start of the Umrah season by issuing the necessary permits through the “Nusuk” or “Tawakkalna” applications for citizens, residents, as well as citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and residents therein.

This step comes after the ministry declared the success of the Hajj season, aiming to enable more Muslims to perform Umrah and visit the holy sites, in addition to improving the quality of services provided to them, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

“Nusuk” is one of the applications launched by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, as part of its responsibility for serving the guests of the Most Merciful, by enabling them to obtain the necessary permits for performing Umrah and visiting the Prophet’s Mosque, according to the approved capacity set by the relevant authorities.

These measures aim to “ensure a spiritual and safe atmosphere while fulfilling the regulatory requirements in integration with the Tawakkalna application to verify the health condition of the applicant,” as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah had recently announced its welcome to pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia and started issuing electronic visas for Umrah through the “Nusuk” platform, with their arrival in the Kingdom beginning from the first day of Muharram, 1445 Hijri.
