The conflict continues to hit the Brotherhood, exacerbating the terrorist group’s divisions

Ongoing crises hit the Brotherhood terrorist group, especially in light of the fierce rivalry within the terrorist group over leadership positions over which the three Brotherhood fronts are struggling.

Statement of sympathy

Former Secretary-General of the Muslim Brotherhood and leader of the so-called “Istanbul Front” Mahmoud Hussein is trying to woo followers of the “London Front” to join him and end the disagreements that led to the division of the Brotherhood. This has been seen by a number of experts and observers as a maneuver by Hussein to confuse the scene, specifically the London Front, especially with the approach of naming the acting leader of the new Brotherhood.

The crisis began when the “Istanbul Front” issued a statement calling on everyone not to bypass the mother group in Egypt, and not to impose any illegal leadership on it, contrary to the will of the approved institutions of the Brotherhood, and contrary to all established norms and regulations, adding that there are relentless attempts to tear the group apart.

The statement raised a lot of questions and analysis, and observers expected that Hussein is seeking to confuse the London front, especially with the approach of naming the charge d’affaires of the new Muslim Brotherhood and pulling the rug from under the feet of the London front, and a renewed conflict over the leadership of the group between its main wings.

Disintegration and crises

On the state of disintegration and the crises experienced by the Brotherhood terrorist group, Ibrahim Rabie, a leading Brotherhood defector and an expert on terrorist groups, said: The crises witnessed by the terrorist group have not happened before, and that dissension is rooted in the organization this time, and no group will control the other, but rather one group will dislodge the other, take over the capabilities of the group, and this statement shows the state of conflict over the leadership of the group, between its main wings in London and Istanbul.

The Brotherhood dissident leader added that the Istanbul Front’s recent statement confirms and shows the state of conflict and disintegration that the terrorist group is currently living. It also reveals the state of extreme confusion that is striking the terrorist organization in London and Istanbul, and reveals that the coming period will reveal many scandals and crises within the terrorist organization.
