The United Arab Emirates and Sudan discuss enhancing cooperation in various fields

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency of the United Arab Emirates received Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Vice-President of the Sovereign Council of the Republic of Sudan.

During the meeting, they discussed fraternal relations and opportunities to strengthen cooperation and joint action in various fields to serve the development goals and aspirations of the two countries, the official WAM news agency reported Thursday.

Sheik Mansour bin Zayed affirmed the UAE’s support for the framework agreement recently signed between the Sudanese parties to address the current political crisis and make the transitional period a success, which establishes steps to ensure the building of a civilian-led government and achieve all that is conducive to the “stability, growth and prosperity” of Sudan.

General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo expressed his thanks and appreciation for the UAE’s firm and historical positions and initiatives in support of Sudan’s stability.
