Saudi Arabia declars that international community should take a strong position towards Iran
The state news agency declared in a statement on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet repeated the Kingdom’s position that the international community should take a strong position towards Iran, and deal rigorously against its violations related to its nuclear program.
The Council of Ministers, and during a Cabinet session directed virtually by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman, discussed the recent efforts undertaken by the Presidency of State Security and its staffs in following up and tracking down terror elements in the Kingdom.
A statement on the Saudi Press Agency: His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi stated that the Council touched on a number of issues about the latest developments, on the regional and international arenas, reiterating the Kingdom’s affirmation during the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency that the international community should take a firm stance towards Iran and seriously deal with its violations related to its nuclear program.
The spokesman for the presidency of the State Security reported on Monday that Saudi Arabia arrested this month a terrorist group, which received training by the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) in Iran, and detained 10 individuals and seized weapons and explosives. Moreover, Saudi security authorities related that weapons and explosives stored at a house and a farm were seized, however it didn’t declared any information about the raid or the arrests last week were they carried out.
The kingdom’s State Security Presidency reported late Monday: Competent authorities at the presidency thwarted a terrorist cell… whose elements received military and field training on how to make explosives, at the Revolutionary Guard’s sites in Iran. It also said in a statement carried on official media Security investigations revealed the elements’ identities as well as two sites used by the elements to store weapons and explosives.
The kingdom’s State Security Presidency reported that among the elements seized were improvised explosive devices (IEDs), dozens of stun guns, kilos of gunpowder and a variety of rifles and pistols.
