With 21 Missiles and a Drone… Houthis Attack Mokha Port

Houthi militias bombarded the port and city of Mokha in western Taiz Governorate, Yemen, on Sunday using missiles and drones, causing significant material damage.

Local and security sources said that the Houthi group used more than 21 ballistic missiles and suicide drones in its bombardment of the city and strategic port of Mokha, which overlooks the Red Sea.

The sources said the Houthi strikes targeted facilities and docks at Mokha Port in an attempt to disrupt maritime traffic involving commercial cargo vessels. They added that the attack caused extensive damage to the vital port facility.

The bombardment of Mokha Port came a day after the National Resistance announced that it had shelled Houthi gatherings and concentrations in southern Hodeidah Governorate in western Yemen, reportedly killing and injuring dozens of Houthi fighters.

In recent weeks, the Houthi militias have intensified their attacks on land and at sea. Among the most serious were attacks launched since last Thursday against four government military camps and displacement camps in Marib and Hadramout, which reportedly resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries.
