Offensive Statements against Egypt and Gulf States
Al-Qaradawi’s son posted a video from Syria, where he was celebrating the fall of Al-Assad’s regime, in which he made offensive remarks about Egypt and several Gulf countries.
The Ministry of Information in the new Syrian administration distanced itself from his comments, emphasizing that the statements made by visitors and participants in Syrian media reflect their personal opinions and do not necessarily represent the Syrian government’s official stance.
In a statement reported by the SANA news agency, the ministry stressed that the official positions of the Syrian government are exclusively issued by official bodies and accredited channels affiliated with it.
