Iran’s Intelligence Minister to Soon Reveal Israel’s Hidden Treasure

Iran once again hinted on Sunday at a soon-to-be-unveiled cache of what it claims are important Israeli documents in its possession, which would reportedly enhance the country’s offensive capabilities.

Esmaeil Khatib, Iran’s Minister of Intelligence, told state television that Tehran would soon reveal sensitive Israeli documents it has obtained, calling them a “hidden treasure” that will significantly boost Iran’s offensive strength.

According to Iranian state media reports on Saturday, Iranian intelligence agencies have obtained a large set of highly important Israeli documents.

Khatib said the documents pertain to Israeli nuclear facilities, its relations with the United States, Europe, and other countries, as well as its defensive capabilities.

Israel has not yet issued any official response.

It remains unclear whether the report is linked to past hacking operations that allegedly targeted an Israeli nuclear research center last year, and which may now be publicly disclosed amid rising tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program.

Khatib said, “Transferring this hidden treasure took time and required secure procedures. Of course, the means of transport will remain confidential, but the documents will be revealed soon.” He added, referring to their volume, “To speak of thousands of documents would be an understatement.”

Back in 2018, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had announced that Israeli agents seized a massive archive of Iranian documents proving that Tehran had conducted more nuclear activities than previously disclosed.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump had threatened to bomb Iran if it failed to reach a deal with Washington on its nuclear program. However, reports suggest that in April, Trump blocked a planned Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear sites to allow room for negotiations.

Last Wednesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei declared that abandoning uranium enrichment would be entirely against the country’s interests, firmly rejecting a key American demand in the long-running talks to resolve the nuclear standoff.

Western powers claim Iran is enriching uranium to levels near weapons-grade, a charge Tehran has long denied, maintaining that it is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons.
