Iran Attempts to Close Israeli Breach: Two Alleged Mossad Operatives Arrested

Iran announced on Sunday the arrest of two individuals it claims are affiliated with the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad.

According to the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim, the two suspects were apprehended in Alborz Province while allegedly preparing explosives and electronic equipment.

The arrests come a day after Iranian authorities reported intercepting vehicles linked to the Mossad, which were allegedly transporting suicide drones inside Iranian territory — a move described as part of efforts to counter a “major breach.”

Iranian officials have also implemented heightened security measures, including the detention of several individuals accused of attempting to infiltrate and transport drone-related equipment.

In addition, Iran announced the arrest of people accused of spreading what judicial authorities described as “misleading” information regarding the latest Israeli attacks.

These developments occur amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel. Early Friday morning, Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran, targeting more than 200 military and nuclear sites. The strike reportedly killed senior Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists. Israel claimed to possess intelligence indicating that Iran’s nuclear program was nearing the “point of no return.”

In retaliation, Iran launched waves of missiles and drones toward Israel, resulting in the deaths of over ten people and injuring dozens more.
