After Erdoğan ”Scandals”… 10 followers of Mafia leader arrested

Turkish police have arrested 10 followers of mafia leader Sedat Peker in response to the latter’s smear of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s regime.

This came according to the website of the Turkish opposition newspaper Suzcu, followed by Al Ain News, on Wednesday.

An official source said that the organized crime teams of the General Security Directorate in Istanbul launched a simultaneous security operation in 4 areas of the city, which resulted in the arrest of 10 suspected followers of Mafia leader Peker.

Security sources stated that the arrest was made on the pretext of finding new evidence regarding a murder committed 4 years ago in Istanbul, coinciding with Bakr’s continued exposing the details of the mafia’s relationship with the leadership of the government, foremost among them Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu.

The security forces arrested and detained 10 suspects and seized 4 pistols, 149 rounds of ammunition and 12 checks, for a total value of 915,000 lire.

The move is part of a series of similar measures taken by the Turkish authorities in response to crimes and scandals that the Mafia’s leader has been posting on YouTube for more than a month.

The new arrests are expected to provoke Sedat Peker, the Mafia’s leader.

Last month, Sedat Peker began publishing scandals against officials after a security crackdown against his men began in April.
