Calls to Expel the Muslim Brotherhood Militias from Hadramout Valley

Social media platforms have been flooded with numerous hashtags demanding the expulsion of Muslim Brotherhood militias from the valley and desert of Hadramout in Yemen.

Southern activists and politicians stated that the horrific crimes committed against the people of Hadramout by the First Military Region forces—affiliated with the Al-Islah party, the Yemeni arm of the Muslim Brotherhood—occupying the valley and desert of Hadramout, cannot be forgotten over time. They clarified that these forces are responsible for numerous assassinations targeting civilians, military personnel, and security agents, according to the South Portal website.

Through the hashtag “Liberating the valley is a demand of Hadramout’s people”, they condemned the collaboration between the Muslim Brotherhood and the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias to destabilize the security of the province and the south in general.

Southern activists highlighted repeated calls from the people of Hadramout to expel the forces of the First Military Region from the districts of the valley, as evidenced by numerous mass protests and public events. They warned of the threat posed by these forces to the security and stability of Hadramout Valley.

Posts by activists and politicians confirmed that the majority of individuals in the First Military Region are loyal to the Iranian-backed Houthi militias. The latest evidence of this was the targeting of members of the Arab Coalition, followed by the perpetrator fleeing to areas under Houthi control.

They further emphasized that the people of Hadramout will not accept the continuation of occupation and looting, asserting that the liberation of Hadramout Valley and desert is a fundamental right that cannot be relinquished.
