Deadly and causes death… study warns of a children’s game

A recent study has warned of one children’s game, which it described as “dangerous.

Lia Middleberg, an emergency medicine specialist, presented the recent study at the National Conference of the American Academy of Pediatrics. explaining that the number of children undergoing surgical intervention to remove neodymium magnet balls and beads from inside their bodies has not decreased.

On the other hand, surgeon Mina Wick from the University of California hospital stated that these high-energy balls and beads are marketed as a fun game that reduces stress.

Wick described this game as “the most dangerous.” especially when children swallow them, exposing them to rare earth magnet injuries.

When a child swallows this magnet, the magnets can attract each other or other objects.

According to the study, a 5-year-old child previously swallowed a small metal ball a few days after swallowing the magnet. indicating the possibility of magnets attracting each other inside the child’s body.

The magnets being drawn inside the body can cause tissue damage. resulting in perforations, blockages, or twists in the intestines. or it can also lead to blood poisoning, infections, or blood poisoning, and in some cases. it may lead to death.
