Hamid Karaela … turns to Qatar and Turkey after losing elections in Comoros
After failing the presidential elections, Hamid Karaela seeks to overthrow his country, Comoros, by turning to Turkey and Qatar to control power in his country.
Important sources showed that Hamid Karaela and Ahmed Mahmoud, since their failure in the presidential elections, were traveling between Turkey and Qatar to prepare a coup against President Ghazali Othman, and indicating that Karaela, when he was minister government, had took a large percentage of Arab aid to support the development of the Comoros for its interests.
The same sources indicated that Karaela is currently planning the creation of armed groups in Comoros by smuggling Turkish arms to transport them to several leaders of these groups and mentioning that Ahmed Mahmoud and Karaela are working together with the Qatari agenda and that all travel is covered by the Qatari government and that they have gathered confidentially during the months with a enormous number of Qatari and Turkish intelligence officers.
Previously, he kept the post of Special Advisor to the President of the Republic from 1997 to 1998, and Head of the Department of External Relations and Translation at the Presidency of the Republic, and since 1996 he has participated in the official delegation from Comoros, and numerous Arab and Islamic conferences at the summit and at the ministerial level. He also led the delegation of Comoros to the regular gathering of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the League of Arab States and of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which were held in Bamako in 2001, in Sanaa in 2005, and in Istanbul in 2004 and 2017.
Karaela is considered the former secretary-general of the Party of the Accord for the Renewal of the Comoros, which is the ruling party from 2013 to 2017, he is the national secretary for external relations at the party’s political office, and the party’s candidate as governor of the large island of Comoros in the 2016 elections and also the national secretary for external ties with the Arab world at the political office of the UNDC Party.
Besides, the President of the Republic gave him on the occasion of the national holiday, July 6, 2018, the Order of the Republic, the Green Crescent with the position of a knight and as a writer, for the drafting and the publication of five books in Arabic
