International praise for UAE assistance in Yemen to confront the Houthi threat and the Iranian project
The significant efforts of the United Arab Emirates have received wide local and international praise after intensifying its humanitarian, relief, and service activities in Yemen, where the war has been ongoing for 9 years. The UAE’s efforts continue to alleviate the suffering of citizens and restore life in the liberated provinces.
The UAE’s efforts have covered various and diverse humanitarian and relief areas, encompassing all aspects of life. Its emergency interventions have played a significant role in confronting many diseases and epidemics that have spread due to the war imposed on the Yemeni people by the Houthi militia.
International acclaim
The UAE’s efforts have received numerous international accolades, in addition to the internal progress it has achieved. Jacqueline Parlevliet, Director of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, praised the diverse activities and projects implemented by the UAE in Yemen, which encompass all humanitarian, service, and developmental fields.
The UNHCR added, “The UAE has accomplished diverse and numerous projects, and I am delighted when I witness these diverse and rich Emirati activities and projects.”
Yemeni praise for Emirati role
Yemeni Parliament Speaker Sultan al-Barakani praised the support of the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the economic situation in Yemen, aiming to lift it from its crisis and achieve a decent standard of living for its people, as well as reform various conditions, attract investments, and improve services.
During his meeting with UAE Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al-Zaabi, al-Barakani affirmed the prominent role of the UAE and Saudi Arabia in confronting the Houthi group and the Iranian project. He emphasized that they have provided blood, financial support, and political efforts to support their brothers in Yemen, uphold their legitimacy, and support their republican system, noting that it is an appreciated role that cannot be denied or ignored.
UAE’s continued support for the Yemeni people
Yemeni journalist Marzouq Al-Sayyadi says that the UAE stands by the Yemeni people, as it is well-known and evident that the United Arab Emirates has been providing significant humanitarian food aid to Yemen and unlimited support since the launch of Operation Decisive Storm to liberate Yemen from the terrorist Houthi militia supported by Iran.
Al-Sayyadi further stated that UAE support has not been limited to a specific level of assistance but has been comprehensive and diverse. In addition to that, the UAE has been involved in renovating and rebuilding many government institutions that have been devastated by the terrorist Houthi militia.
He also emphasized that the Yemeni people highly appreciate the stance of the United Arab Emirates towards Yemen, expressing his hope that the humanitarian support for Yemen expands, considering that it is going through a decisive war and instability until Yemen regains control over the state and eliminates the terrorist Houthi militia.
